Giving

All Nonprofits are Built on the Spirit of Giving

Montessori Hale O Keiki (MHOK) was founded on the belief that there was a better way to educate our youth.  A small group of enterprising community members, business owners, and parents went about raising money to get the school off the ground and never looked back.  As MHOK celebrates it’s 25th anniversary this year we invite you to support the school and its keiki.

Visitor Industry Charity Walk-  Help us reach out $10,000 goal by May 27th, 2016. Donations for this charity can be made at JustGive.org. Want your donation to be restricted to a certain program? Not a problem, just let us know what your donation should be used for in the “Program” section. You can even set up a reoccurring donation which will automatically give to MHOK each month. Funding raised for the Charity Walk will help support our very important Tuition Assistance program (over 50% of MHOK families receive some form of tuition assistance each year) and will also help enrich our unique Marine & Environmental program.

eScrip allows you to shop online like you normally would at many of the popular online retailers and a percentage of each purchase comes back to the school.  You can also register your grocery store card (Safeway, Vons, etc.) and credit cards so that every purchase you make every day makes a difference for the school.  No extra cost to you.  You do not have to live in Hawaii to participate. Please make sure to update your registered card annually.Escrip

REALTORS INITIATIVE (RISE) was inspired by the Alliance to Improve Maui and  allows realtors to partner with MHOK by donating a percentage (1% – 10%) of their commission upon a sale to the school. Not only will this donation be tax-deductible, but flexible pledge options, PR and marketing benefits ensure the program is mutually beneficial for the realtor and MHOK. Donations collected through this realtor initiative will be used to provide Tuition Assistance-currently, 40% of MHOK’s students receive assistance every year. How does it add up? $3,100 will provide a 30% Tuition Assistance award to a deserving child, which is the average aid request. With your support we can continue to provide a unique learning environment that is both culturally and economically diverse.
