MHOK In-House Financial Aid 808-874-7441

Each year Montessori Hale O Keiki offers need-based financial aid to families who qualify. To be considered for financial aid, all students must have been accepted for admission or reenrollment.

MHOK uses School and Student Services (SSS) by NAIS to help determine eligibility.  Recommendations made by SSS are reviewed by the MHOK Financial Aid Committee and adjustments may be made.  The family’s total income and assets, number of children attending tuition charging schools, housing costs, medical expenses, debt obligations and other special circumstances are also considered.  It is important to keep in mind, however, that while we try to assist as many qualified students as possible with the limited resources that we have, financing a private school education remains the primary responsibility of the family.  MHOK requires both parents (whether divorced, separated or never married) to complete the financial aid process.

Families of returning students must reapply each year for financial assistance.  In order for returning students to receive financial aid, they must have demonstrated commitment to the Montessori academics philosophy and participated positively in the school community and fundraising.  A returning student’s family who is in arrears with its financial obligation to the school will be ineligible to receive aid until the balance is resolved, this may jeopardize the possibility of receiving aid in the following year.
