Upper/Middle School Open Classroom Event – 5/3/12

Montessori Hale O Keiki, South Maui’s only independent school, invites all parents and their sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students to an open classroom experience! This event is specifically for parents and potential students to visit and learn more about our Upper/Middle School (grades 6th-8th). This event allows parents and students the opportunity to visit our campus, meet our teachers and head of school, and ask questions about our upper and middle school curriculum.

  • MHOK offers a high quality Montessori education that fosters a child’s natural inclination to learn. Our teachers guide rather than instruct, linking each student with activities that meet his or her interests, needs, and developmental level. The classroom is designed to allow movement and collaboration, as it also promotes concentration and a sense of order.
  • MHOK offers a unique education like no other school onMaui. Where else will your child be able to experience the wonders of marine science by snorkeling with her/his classmates?
  • MHOK employs a naturalist to spend one on one time with each student, giving them the hands on experience of expanding their education about the marine environment that surrounds Maui and the other Hawaiian islands and how humans who live on these islands directly affect the environment both in the water an on the land.
  • MHOK offers your 7th or 8th grader the opportunity to become SCUBA certified.
  • MHOK students graduate and move on to excellent schools such as, Seabury Hall, Maui Preparatory Academy, and Hawaii Preparatory Academy.

These, and many other opportunities, are waiting for your 6th grade or middle school student.  Please join us to learn more about MHOK!
